Import contacts from a SIM card

If you were already using a SIM card in another phone before the iPhone, maybe you want to transfer contacts from previous SIM on the iPhone?

The procedure that I will describe in this article will allow you to copy the contacts from the old SIM card into the address book of the iPhone. You will not lose the contacts already on the iPhone or on the old SIM card. New contacts will be added to the contact list you have on the iPhone.

Step 1:
Remove the iPhone forward computer procedure if you have not already.

Step 2:
Turn off the iPhone> using iTrombone (or a simple paper clip), toggle the small carriage and remove your current SIM.

Step 3:
Insert the old SIM card and turn on the iPhone

Step 4:
Tap Settings> tap Mail, Contacts, Calendar:

Step 5:
Press Import SIM contacts:

Step 6:
Wait for import: Press the Home button once the bubble is gone:

Step 7:
Go into your address book to check whether the contacts have been copied to the iPhone

Step 8:
Turn iPhone> remove the old SIM card and replace the one you use> turn the iPhone

You will now have your old contacts in your address book current. Thank you for reading.
