How to recover deleted text messages from iPhone?

We'll show you three ways to retrieve text messages you delete on your iPhone.

So you have deleted all your old texting, then you have realized that you actually need all deleted sms or some of your old messages. Well, fear not. You can retrieve deleted messages from your iPhone. In fact, it is possible to do so without resorting to something more difficult than restoring from backup. And at worst, you'll be able to get your old messages using a third party application. Here are three ways to restore deleted SMS messages on an Apple iPhone.

Recover deleted SMS on iPhone: iCloud

If you have already saved your iPhone to iCloud or iTunes, you should be able to restore your SMS from the backup. If you have not turned off the automatic synchronization option of iTunes, you should have a backup each time you synchronize with your PC or Mac. Unfortunately, not iCloud Backup SMS in all countries and for all phone operators. In this case, the following will not work (too bad, because that is the best safeguard you can have for your SMS messages). To check if it works in your network, go to step 2.

1. Log on with your iCloud Apple ID and password
2. Click on the text (if it is not your messages are not saved)
3. If your text messages are there, find the messages you need
4. Now go to your iPhone and select Settings, then iCloud on your iPhone
5. Disable text messages (or make sure they are disabled). I know it does not seem logical, but do it anyway
6. You will see a pop-up. Select "Keep on My iPhone"
7. Now retrace your SMS
8. Click "merge" and wait. After a few minutes, deleted messages will reappear on your iPhone.

Recover deleted SMS on iPhone: iTunes

If your iCloud does not contain your text messages, we have two other options. First we will try to recover deleted SMS via iTunes backup.

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
2. In iTunes, select your iPhone icon
3. Now choose "Restore Backup"
4. All data that you have previously saved will now replace the data on your phone. Wait a few minutes.

As long as you have not made a backup after removing the SMS, they should now appear on your phone

Recover deleted SMS on iPhone: use a third-party application 

If none of the above options do not work, you can use an application maybe iphone data recovery (or as Wondershare Tenorshare for iOS FIDR), but it will cost a few cents. We never used these apps, which is why we can not recommend one, but this type of application appears to have a good reputation online.
